Long Beach Firemen’s Surf Club

Surfers, Non-Surfers, Active, Retired, Family, and Friends!!! Established in 1999, the Firemen’s Surf Club has been around for 20 years. As some of you may know, we meet once a month (twice a month during the summer) to surf, hang out, and just not be “on duty”. The idea is to have a time and place where we can all gather for fun. You don’t need to surf. We encourage everyone to come down to the beach and bring friends and family.

The surf club is rebuilding! We are looking to have more and more members come down to the beach. This month, we had our first Family Day at Doheny. Thanks to all who made it.

August brings more sun and more Family Days. August 8th we will meet at Doheny (near the north jetty closest to Dana Harbor) and August 22nd at Old Man’s (3/4 of the way down). Just look for the wooden LB Surf Club sign.

We have a new Facebook page (Long Beach Firemen’s Surf Club) and if you have any questions, ideas, or concerns, email us at

We look forward to seeing you at the beach!
