Johnny Jenkins currently works as a FF/PM at Station 10. He was born and raised in San Juan Capistrano and spent much of his childhood at the beach, playing sports, fishing, camping and could regularly be found at Los Alamitos Race Course with his father, raising and racing American Quarter Horses.
Johnny moved to Long Beach at the age of Nineteen and graduated from California State University, Long Beach. After college Johnny moved to New York and spent many of his evenings performing in comedy clubs. He returned to the Los Angeles area and lived in North Hollywood, West LA, and ultimately settled down in Long Beach.
He became interested in a career in the fire service after a ride-along with his cousin, an Orange County Firefighter. He attended Verdugo Fire Academy in Glendale and subsequently NCTI Paramedic school in Riverside County. Johnny was hired with the City of Long Beach as an Ambulance Operator in 2012 and was fortunate enough to join Academy Class 2013A.
Johnny married the love of his life in 2017 and together with their dog, Stephen, they currently reside in 19’s area. He is proud to call himself a Long Beach Firefighter and is excited for what the future holds.
