Since 1929 the Long Beach Firefighters Mutual Benefit Association has been providing help to our members in a multitude of ways. The MBA provides assistance to families of fallen firefighters with the Widows Mite fund. Assistance is provided to members in the form of hardship loans and with dental procedures and optical expenses. The MBA provides funds at the station level to offset the costs of televisions and fitness equipment as well.

But, did you know what the MBA is doing locally to support our community organizations? Our association helps with entry fees for members competing in the Firefighter Olympic Games and money to help with uniforms and equipment. The MBA also makes annual donations to:

  • Long Beach Search and Rescue

  • Retired Firefighters Picnic

  • Retirement dinner

  • Long Beach Firefighters Museum

The Long Beach Mutual Benefit association is working hard to provide for our members and their families in times of need. We are also proud to promote good will throughout the community on behalf of the Long Beach Firefighters and their families.
